Become a THP Mentor

Who can be a mentor?

THP understands that students need stability, guidance and security.  Mentors, as adult role models, can provide a positive, uncommon example of those things or contribute to the stress and instability of students lives negatively.  For this reason, THP is very selective in who is permitted to mentor students.

In order to be a THP mentor, a person MUST:

  1. Have gone through and passed the Harnett AND Wake County volunteer background checks.
  2. Have completed the THP’s application, selection, and training process.
  3. Be committed, consistent and available.
  4. Have quarterly assessments where goals and expectations are review and progress is metered.
  5. Commit to at least year of mentoring at a time.

If you are interested in becoming a THP mentor, please download and fill out the Volunteer Application Packet.
