What we’re doing
Our services engage the total person, mind, body, spirit and soul, targeting the foundational belief system of the individual and the functional system at work in the family. We hope to achieve this through six initiatives. We are working towards putting in place:
The Human Needs Initiative:
The Hope Project will help get people their most basic human needs met. Legal clinics, credit counseling and housing seminars will also be provided.
The Counseling Initiative:
Our counseling center will be a place where families learn new patterns of behavior, better communication skills, and consistent and successful discipline. Conflict resolution classes and career counseling will be offered.
The Education Initiative:
Our Educational Center will offer mentoring, tutoring, after-school programs as well as track-out programs for middle school and high school students.
The Technology Initiative
Our tech center will offer training in computers, GED prep, ESL, and adult literacy classes, all aimed at preparing students and adults for employment.
The Sports Initiative:
The Sports Center will provide students the opportunity to participate in sports leagues, clinics, summer camps and other recreational activities.
The Arts Initiative:
Our arts center will provide opportunity to explore fine art through music lessons, art classes and theatre training.
